I feel that the author is speaking to me. In just two days I have discovered some new ideas about myself and my life. I will probably not follow the instructions exactly because that is just who I am, but I feel comfortable about the freedom the author gives me to benefit from it in my own way. I like that he added color to the process. It helps with following through with his thoughts. He keeps it simple by using the number 3—even by recommending you follow his action steps across 21 days. I’ve read tons of “self-help” books. Most offer nice thoughts and plenty of platitudes. But they usually offer little in the way of actionable steps. The problem I found is that the practices seemed tweaked a bit much to the authors personal beliefs and attitudes. These exercises will not work for all personalities. If you’re a team player or relationship oriented, they might be your cup of tea. If you’re a lone wolf or very competitive, this book might not be for you.
